Hanson was able to tame the Wildcat offensive surge with a corner three-pointer at the 2:59 mark.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{e8b80118-3c47-4bcb-aaa9-6f547c8f7612}{27}\" paraid=\"92857913\">Coming out of the timeout, Priede scored on Vermont&#8217;s first possession, using a turnaround jump shot from midrange to bring the Catamounts within three, 14-11, with just over two minutes\u00a0remaining\u00a0in the opening frame.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{e8b80118-3c47-4bcb-aaa9-6f547c8f7612}{31}\" paraid=\"54051311\">The Catamounts managed to crawl back within two points, down 20-18 with 7:11\u00a0remaining\u00a0before halftime, orchestrating a 7-4 scoring run to open the second quarter, seeing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uvmathletics.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/malia-lenz\/10091\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10091\" target=\"_blank\">Malia Lenz<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/uvmathletics.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/emma-haan\/11769\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"11769\" target=\"_blank\">Emma Haan<\/a>, and Priede all make layups.\u00a0Lenz\u00a0also made\u00a0a\u00a0free throw in the process.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{e8b80118-3c47-4bcb-aaa9-6f547c8f7612}{33}\" paraid=\"1554623867\">Vermont took a 34-28 lead into halftime, getting ten points from Priede and six points from Hanson\u00a0en\u00a0route to a 16-8 scoring run to end the first half. <a href=\"https:\/\/uvmathletics.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/jadyn-weltz\/11781\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"11781\" target=\"_blank\">Jadyn Weltz<\/a> recorded seven first half assists, connecting with Priede on four of her baskets in the second quarter with textbook pick-and-rolls, propelling the Catamounts ahead by six points.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{e8b80118-3c47-4bcb-aaa9-6f547c8f7612}{35}\" paraid=\"2031272296\">It was back-and-forth basketball at the first media timeout of the third quarter with UVM maintaining the lead, 42-35, getting six points from Priede, who pulled out all her offensive tricks, making a layup, a turnaround jump shot, and a mid-range jump shot, sustaining the Vermont offensive pressure with under\u00a0five minutes left in the third frame. Hanson also added two free throws to begin the third quarter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{e8b80118-3c47-4bcb-aaa9-6f547c8f7612}{37}\" paraid=\"967285317\">Following a three-pointer from Weltz with 4:26 on the clock, Patrick Gymnasium erupted when Weltz once again showed off her playmaking abilities, finding <a href=\"https:\/\/uvmathletics.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/jacklynn-hosier\/11776\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"11776\" target=\"_blank\">Jacklynn Hosier<\/a> a minute later in front of the Catamount bench, where she drained a three-pointer, forcing New Hampshire to take a timeout as Vermont gained a double-digit lead, 48-37, with 3:29 remaining in the quarter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{e8b80118-3c47-4bcb-aaa9-6f547c8f7612}{39}\" paraid=\"1491750825\">Weltz capped off the third quarter with a buzzer-beater mid-range floater, seeing UVM take a 55-41 lead into the final quarter of action.
