Spanning 57,000 square meters, KING Toronto was initially unveiled in 2016 and received planning approval in September 2018. Spanning the mouth of the Tamsui River, which flows through Taipei, the Danjiang Bridge is a key component of the infrastructure upgrading program in northern Taiwan.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Expected to open on May 12, 2026, the new bridge will help reduce through-traffic on congested local roads by linking Highway 2 on the eastern side of the river with Highway 15, the West Coast Expressway (Route 61), and the Bali-Xindian Expressway (Route 64) on the western side.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>By reducing traffic by 30 per cent on the existing Guandu Bridge, located 5 kilometers upriver, the Danjiang Bridge will significantly improve the traffic network on Taiwan&#8217;s northern coast.
