ORONO, MAINE – After tallying three points in the last two games, including the both goals in Saturday’s win, rookie defender Lulu Rucinski<\/a> was named Defender of the Week, Hockey East announced Monday.<\/p>\n

Lulu Rucinski<\/a> scored both goals in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Holy Cross, both on breakaways. On Tuesday, Rucinski assisted the game-winning goal versus Brown leading the Black Bears to win 3-2. She now leads the Black Bears in points with 10 total.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This award accounts for the second time Rucinski earned Defender of the Week in her rookie season.<\/p>\n
