Sophie Turner<\/a> doesn\u2019t have time for anything serious at the moment. <\/p>\n

Two months after multiple outlets reported that the Game of Thrones actress was casually seeing Chris Martin, she insinuated she was single in rare comments about her dating life.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t seen my friends or gone on a date in weeks, months!\u201d she told Net-A-Porter in published Jan. 5<\/a>. \u201cI just sack off parts of my life sometimes. I only have the capacity for work and family right now. But I\u2019m working on it. I\u2019ll get there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, Sophie\u2014who shares daughters Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, with ex Joe Jonas\u2014pushed back on the \u201cfish bowl\u201d that comes with being the spotlight, especially after her 2023 breakup with the Jonas Brothers singer. <\/p>\n

\u201cPeople take so much as fact these days,\u201d she explained. \u201cAny article that comes out, people go, \u2018Right, that must have happened.\u2019 You feel like you\u2019re gagged because silence is always the way to let something die out. But it means that you can\u2019t stand up for yourself ever, so there\u2019s a feeling of helplessness and shame.\u201d<\/p>\n

And when the reported stories are true, Sophie\u2014who most recently dated <\/a>Peregrine Pearson<\/a>\u2014lamented on how it affects her dynamic with close family and friends. <\/p>\n

\u201cI get calls from my mum going, \u2018Oh my God, darling, I didn\u2019t know this happened,\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd I\u2019m like, \u2018It might have happened, but I wasn\u2019t ready to tell you, let alone the world\u2026\u2019 You just don\u2019t have the narrative over your own story.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Chris\u2019 part, he has been similarly thrust into the spotlight where his dating life is concerned following his breakup from Dakota Johnson in June after nearly eight years together. <\/p>\n
