The Cr\u00e9ateurs Design Awards<\/a> have announced the nominees for its 2026 edition. The award honors creative endeavors across 15 categories, seven of which encompass architecture and interior design projects. Other categories include product design, curation, photography, landscape, digital art, creative journalism, and curatorial practice.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s CDA shortlists reflect a pivotal moment in contemporary design, shaped by material innovation, emotional spatial design, heritage craft, and digital hybridity,\u201d the organizers said. \u201cStudios from Lebanon, India, Iceland, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, USA, UK, Italy, Finland, China and beyond stand together, defining the next chapter of contemporary culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to the nominees for the 15 award categories, the CAD has also awarded honors to two acclaimed architects. Christian de Portzamparc<\/a> was awarded the Andr\u00e9e Putman Lifetime Achievement Award<\/a>, recognizing an architect whose \u201cpoetic urban vision and sculptural mastery have shaped contemporary architecture worldwide.\u201d Meanwhile, Tiantian Xu<\/a> was awarded Le Prix Charlotte Perriand<\/a>, honoring an architect \u201cwhose rural revitalization work in China transforms culture, memory, and community through design.\u201d<\/p>\n
