TAMPA, Fla. (January 5, 2026) \u2013 For the first time this season, the University of South Florida will take to the road for an American Conference game. USF is scheduled to battle UAB in Birmingham, Alabama, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+ and Bulls Unlimited.

\nThe Bulls enter the game with an 8-7 overall record and a 1-1 mark in conference play. The Blazers enter Tuesday with an overall record of 7-7 and a 0-2 conference record.

\nSetting The Stage:
\nSouth Florida opened 2026 with a dominant, wire-to-wire 77-61 victory over North Texas. UAB opened 2026 with a 71-60 loss to Charlotte.

\nSeries History:
\nUSF and UAB will meet for the 36th time on Tuesday. The Blazers lead the series 24-11. The Bulls are 4-14 in Birmingham. South Florida has won six of the last seven meetings.

\nNote-A-Bulls:
\nCarla Brito<\/a> has recorded a double-double in three straight games. She is the first USF player since Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu during the 2022-23 season to record three consecutive double-doubles. It was the 24th time in program history that a player has posted three double-doubles in a row.

\nThe Bulls have five players averaging 9.0 or more points per game on the season. Edyn Battle<\/a> leads the squad, averaging 14.8 a contest. Stefanie Ingram<\/a> averages 10.8 points per game, while Katie Davidson<\/a> averages 10.5 a game. L’or Mputu<\/a> is just outside of double digits with 9.9 points per contest. Brito is averaging 9.0 points per game.

\nIngram continues to lead the conference in assists and assists per game. She is tied for 26th in the NCAA with 84 assists and tied for 24th in the NCAA with 5.6 assists per contest.

\nDefensively, the Bulls have three players with 50 or more defensive rebounds. Mputu leads the squad with 8.0 rebounds per game, with 59 defensive boards. Brito has collected 61 defensive rebounds and is averaging 7.0 rebounds per contest. Ines Piper<\/a> has brought down 51 defensive rebounds.

\nPiper and Fatou Diakite<\/a> are tied for the team lead with 14 blocked shots. Ingram (15), Piper (13), Diakite (12), and Kirsten Lewis-Williams<\/a> (10) have all produced double-digit steals on the season.

\nAdditional Notes:
\nSouth Florida has had five players score in double digits in back-to-back games. It is tied for the best streak of games with five or more players in double figures. It is the first time since February of 2015 that the Bulls have had five players in double figures in back-to-back games. The other two times it happened were in 2008 and 2001.
