\n\tKristen Stewart<\/a> recently told \u201cEntertainment Tonight<\/a>\u201d that she \u201cwould love\u201d to direct a reboot of \u201cTwilight<\/a>,\u201d the 2008 vampire romantasy film that launched her career.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI would love \u2014 look. I love what Catherine [Hardwicke] did, I love what Chris [Weitz] did, I love what all of the directors did with the movies,\u201d Stewart said. \u201cThey were so themselves and weird and kind of like, squirrelly, and just so present in that time when they didn\u2019t really know what they were yet, like before they blew up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStewart said ideally, she would receive a \u201chuge budget\u201d and \u201ca bunch of love and support\u201d from fans for the hypothetical project.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYeah, sure, I\u2019ll do the remake,\u201d she added. \u201cI\u2019m doing it! I\u2019m committed!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStewart starred in the \u201cTwilight\u201d franchise alongside Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. The 2008 original spawned four sequels: 2009\u2019s \u201cNew Moon,\u201d 2010\u2019s \u201cEclipse,\u201d 2011\u2019s \u201cBreaking Dawn \u2013 Part 1\u201d and 2012\u2019s \u201cBreaking Dawn \u2013 Part 2.\u201d The series grossed more than $3 billion in total at the worldwide box office.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Stewart is happy to return to Forks, Wash., Pattinson may not be so quick to buy in. He told GQ in 2022 that he spent much of his time on the \u201cTwilight\u201d set \u201cinfuriated\u201d because the studio did not agree with his vision of the film.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wanted to make it as arty as possible,\u201d Pattinson said at the time<\/a>. \u201cWe had this strange tension where the studio was scared to make things a little bit too emo and stuff. I thought that was the only way to play it. I spent so much time [on set] infuriated\u2026 I can\u2019t believe the way I was acting half the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStewart recently made her directorial debut with \u201cThe Chronology of Water.\u201d Starring Imogen Poots, Thora Birch and Jim Belushi, the film follows a woman who copes with her childhood trauma through swimming and the written word.
