A$AP Rocky<\/a> has shared his new single \u2018Punk Rocky\u2019, and the video features an impressive cast, including Winona Ryder<\/a> \u2013 watch it here.<\/p>\n

\u2018Punk Rocky\u2019 is the lead single from his upcoming album \u2018Don\u2019t Be Dumb\u2019, out next Friday (January 16), and it features a psychedelic rock sound.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe ain\u2019t gon\u2019 be in my life no more \/\u00a0 Got me crying in the microphone,\u201d he sings in the track. \u201cLet me shout on the megaphone \/ That ho ain\u2019t my type no more.\u201d<\/p>\n

And \u2018Punk Rocky\u2019s surreal video has already made a strong impression on fans. In the footage, Rocky sports pink rollers in his hair and is rehearsing in a garage with his punk band as Ryder, who plays a neighbour, looks on. The actress watches the band in a Beavis And Butthead T-shirt while eating blackberries, before another neighbour becomes unhappy with the noise. Along with Ryder, the video stars Danny Elfman<\/a>, Thundercat<\/a>, and Rocky\u2019s cousin A$AP Nast.<\/p>\n

The video appears to be an important part of the album\u2019s narrative, in which the rapper showcases six alter egos. In the clip, he brings five of them to life. Per Variety<\/a>, there\u2019s \u201cRocky portraying GR1M, Tommy Revenge as RUGAHAND, Thoto as BABUSHKA BOI, the Williams twins as SHIRTHEAD, and DUMMY appearing alongside them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last Friday (January 2), he teased the single with a 14-second snippet of the song and video on social media. He captioned it: \u201cVIDEO OF THE FUCCKIN YEAR !!!\ud83d\udd25 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026 -DONTBEDUMB PUNK ROCKY MONDAY.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Don\u2019t Be Dumb\u2019 is Rocky\u2019s first album in almost eight years \u2013\u00a0his last LP, \u2018Testing<\/a>\u2019 came out in May 2018. He first announced the album in June 2024 with the release date scheduled for August, but it was then subjected to a number of delays. In February 2025, he said he was \u201cin the mixing and mastering realm of it,\u201d and in December, he shared the fresh January release date. The album is available to pre-order here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NME listed \u2018Don\u2019t Be Dumb\u2019 as one of the most anticipated album releases of 2026<\/a>, writing: \u201cAfter a years-long legal battle, A$AP Rocky was found not guilty last February for his role in a 2021 shooting incident<\/a>. His fourth album \u2018Don\u2019t Be Dumb\u2019 \u2013 preceded by singles such as \u2018Pray4DaGang\u2019, \u2018Ruby Rosary\u2019 and \u2018Tailor Swif\u2019 and coming nearly eight years after his last album, \u2018Testing\u2019 \u2013 then feels like the return of a prodigal son.\u201d<\/p>\n

In November, meanwhile, Rocky was officially unveiled as a new brand ambassador for Chanel<\/a>. The rapper said of the French fashion house\u2019s artistic director, Matthieu Blazy, \u201cHis designs feel both sensitive and strong, they\u2019re grounded in reality but at the same time, always invite one to wonder. I\u2019m so excited to see him at Chanel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two months before, he welcomed his third child with Rihanna<\/a> \u2013 Rocki Irish Mayers was born on September 13. The \u2018Umbrella\u2019 star had revealed her pregnancy while making a fashionably late entrance at the Met Gala in May<\/a>.<\/p>\n
