The first cohort to come of age in a world marked by digital hyper-connectivity, climate anxiety and an unrelenting stream of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/life-culture\/article\/69356\/1\/2025-year-of-the-gen-z-protest-morocco-nepal-mexico\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">political upheaval<\/a>, a closer look can reveal a cohort shaped by complexity and a willingness to take things into their own hands.<\/p>\n<p>A new photo exhibition at <a href=\"https:\/\/hypebeast.com\/2026\/1\/bobby-de-keyzer-magazine-feature\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Photo Elys\u00e9e<\/a> in Lausanne, Switzerland spotlights offers an intimate look into this generation. Now on view through February 1, <a href=\"https:\/\/elysee.ch\/en\/exhibitions\/gen-z\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Gen Z: Shaping a New Gaze<\/a> gathers an international lineup of 66 artist who, in their own words, explore what it means to belong in a world in-flux.\n<\/p>\n<p>Spanning a constellation of artistic approaches and storytelling modes, the exhibition traces the conditions and sentiments that sculpt Gen Z\u2019s worldview: challenging trivial social norms while proposing new ones, shifting understandings of body and gender, the importance of chosen family and means of navigating overlapping identities.
