{"id":229303,"date":"2026-01-09T15:27:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T15:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/229303\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T15:27:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T15:27:09","slug":"schrodinger-to-offer-eli-lillys-ai-drug-discovery-platform-on-its-software","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/229303\/","title":{"rendered":"Schrodinger to offer Eli Lilly&#8217;s AI drug discovery platform on its software"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">By Sneha S K<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Jan 9 (Reuters) &#8211; Schrodinger said on Friday it is collaborating with Eli Lilly to offer the \u200bpharmaceutical major&#8217;s AI-based platform, TuneLab, on its drug \u200cdesigning software.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Integration of Lilly&#8217;s TuneLab into Schrodinger&#8217;s LiveDesign will give biotech companies direct \u200caccess to the <a href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/ai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:artificial intelligence;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">artificial intelligence<\/a> platform to help speed up drug development, the biotech software maker said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Schrodinger&#8217;s cloud-based platform, LiveDesign, helps chemists design compounds and predict the properties such as absorption \u2060and distribution of the \u200cexperimental drug, helping them understand how a drug will behave in the body.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Drug developers are increasing \u200dadoption of AI for discovery and safety testing to get faster and cheaper results, in line with an FDA push to reduce \u200banimal testing in the near future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Current LiveDesign clients will be \u200cable to use TuneLab in the first quarter of this year, while the AI software will be available to new users by the second quarter, Schrodinger&#8217;s Chief Strategy Officer Karen Akinsanya said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Lilly launched TuneLab, an AI and machine learning platform, \u2060last year to provide biotech companies \u200baccess to drug discovery models trained \u200bon years of its research data.
