\n\tThe Chanticleers are one of the highest-volume three-point shooting teams in the country, ranking 18th with 9.3 three-pointers per game and 34th with 26.0 three-point attempts per game.
\n\tAfter spending almost the entirety of December at home, Coastal plays back-to-back road games against App State and Marshall. \u00a0
\n\tThe Chanticleers grabbed their first Sun Belt win in dominating fashion, taking down App State 69-53 in Boone on Wednesday.\u00a0
\n\tThe Chants held the Mountaineers to just five first quarter points.
\n\tCoastal went 23-50 (53%) from the field and 6-15 (40%) from three-point range, while making 17 of 23 free throws.
\n\tThrough 14\u00a0games, Coastal ranks\u00a063rd\u00a0in the country with 74.8\u00a0points per game
\n\tKristin Williams<\/a>\u00a0leads the team in scoring with 14.5\u00a0points per game.\u00a0

\n\tMarshall holds a 14-3\u00a0overall record and remains unbeaten in Sun Belt play at 5-0.\u00a0
\n\tThe Thundering Herd took down Old Dominion 77-70 on Wednesday.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tTimaya\u00a0Lewis-Eutsey leads the team in scoring with 17.2\u00a0points per game, ranking second in the Sun Belt.\u00a0
\n\tJuli Fulks is in her second\u00a0year as the head coach of the Thundering Herd\u00a0after a 15-20 record last season.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0

\n\tCoastal will be meeting Marshall for the 14th time, with the Thundering Herd holding the series lead 8-5. \u00a0
\n\tThe last time these two teams met was Jan. 1, 2026, where the Thundering Herd won 87-85 in overtime.
\n\tCoastal grabbed a win in Huntington last season, beating Marshall 66-57 on Feb. 15, 2025.\u00a0

\n\tIn her second season with the Chants, graduate guard\u00a0Kristin Williams<\/a>\u00a0had led the Chants in scoring, averaging 14.5\u00a0points per game.
\n\tWilliams has found her groove in Sun Belt play, averaging 18.2 points per game across five conference games.\u00a0
\n\tShe ranks among the best shooters in the Sun Belt, ranking first in 3P% (46%) and tops the conference in three-pointers per game (3.4).
\n\tWilliams currently has 986 career points during her time at UMass and Coastal.\u00a0

\n\tCurrently, Coastal ranks 18th in the country with 9.3 made three-pointers per game.
\n\tThe Chants are also ranked 34th in the country with 26.0 three-point attempts per contest.
\n\tBoth Kristin Williams<\/a> and Tessa Grady<\/a> rank in the top-25 in the country for made three-pointers, with Williams in second (58) and Grady tied for 25th (43).
\n\tWilliams leads the Sun Belt with 3.4 three-pointers per game while Grady ranks fifth with 2.5.

\n\tHead Coach\u00a0Kevin Pederson<\/a>\u00a0coined the term “Coastal Chaos” prior to last season due to his philosophy of tough defense and forcing teams to be uncomfortable.\u00a0
\n\tThe stats backed up the chaotic defense, as the Chants led the Sun Belt with 20.3 turnovers forced per game and ranked second in steals per game with 10.88.
\n\tThis season, Coastal rank 41st in the country with 20.9 turnovers forced per game, and 101st with a turnover margin of 3.0.

\n\tCoastal Carolina Head Coach\u00a0Kevin Pederson<\/a>\u00a0won his 500th career game on Dec. 29, 2025 against Columbia College.\u00a0
\n\tHe holds 57\u00a0victories at Coastal, the fastest coach in program history to reach that mark.\u00a0
