BURLINGTON, Vt. \u2013 Sebastian T\u00f6rnqvist had three points Friday night leading the Catamounts in a come from behind 3-2 win over No. 16 Northeastern from historic Gutterson Fieldhouse.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Huskies opened the scoring with 9:02 to play in the first period. Northeastern took advantage of a fortuitous bounce that created a rapidly developed two-on-two down low. Joe Connor looked to slip a backhand pass to his teammate on the far post, but it took a deflection in front and found the back of the net for his eighth goal of the season.
\n\tSebastian T\u00f6rnqvist equalized for the Catamounts with 24 seconds to play in the first period. T\u00f6rnqvist cut into the Northeastern zone on a two-on-two rush and with some space roofed a snapshot just under the bar to make 1-1 on his third goal of the year. Colin Kessler<\/a> and Aiden Wright<\/a> earned assists on the play.
\n\tVermont took the lead with 4:48 to play in the second period on a picture-perfect transition. Sebastian T\u00f6rnqvist played the puck behind the net to Jack Malinski<\/a> and he quickly entered the neutral zone. Malinski hit in Jens Richards<\/a> in stride on the wing sending him in alone on Northeastern’s Lawton Zacher. Richards faked a shot and then beat Zacher to the post with a backhand to make it 2-1 with his third goal of the season.
\n\tThe Catamounts doubled their lead 2:07 into the third period on another play involving Sebastian T\u00f6rnqvist. T\u00f6rnqvist juked a Northeastern forward at the point and then fired a wrist shot off Massimo Lombardi<\/a> and in to make it 3-1. C\u00e9drick Guindon received the secondary assist on the play.
\n\tNortheastern cut the Vermont lead in half with Amine Hajibi’s fourth goal of the season just 1:45 after the Lombardi goal. On a two-on-two rush he went bar down to make it 3-2.
\n\tThe Huskies pulled their goaltender for an extra attacker for the final 2:37 of game action. In the 2:37 of game action the Catamounts prevented Northeastern from getting a single shot on net, highlighted by a Philip T\u00f6rnqvist blocked shot with 51 seconds to play.

\n\tColin Kessler<\/a> had an assist tonight; he continues to lead the team in scoring with 11 assists this season.
\n\tTonight was the first game this season Vermont has won when allowing the first goal of the contest.
\n\tThe Catamounts have scored 10 goals over their last three games, their most over a three game span this season.
\n\tJack Malinski<\/a> led all skaters’ Friday night with three blocked shots.
\n\tWith tonight’s Win,\u00a0Vermont Mutual Insurance Group<\/a>\u00a0will donate $100 to the\u00a0Ronald McDonald House\u00a0<\/a>through the\u00a0Cat’s Win, Community Win’s<\/a>\u00a0initiative. Vermont Mutual has donated over $6 Million Dollars since launching their Charitable Giving Fund in 2014.
\n\tWith this evening’s 3-2 decision, Community Bank N.A. will donate $150 to Special Olympics Vermont. Community Bank, N.A. donates $50 per goal to Special Olympics Vermont for every goal the men’s and women’s team scores this season.
