Unlike most AI companions that exist entirely virtually, this creature has a physical form that appears to grow.<\/p>\n<p>Based on demo videos, the Sweekar starts out as a palm-sized, egg-shaped device with glowing ears. After an incubation period that can last up to two days, the shell appears to crack open, revealing a newborn digital creature.<\/p>\n<p>From there, Sweekar moves through a series of life stages. The baby phase lasts roughly five to seven days, followed by a teenage stage that can stretch from about three to six weeks. Eventually, the pet reaches adulthood, developing greater intelligence and a more defined personality, as well as more independence.<\/p>\n<p>Early in its life, the pet requires frequent attention, including regular care and help learning basic language. Just like <a target=\"_self\" class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/tamagotchi-making-a-comeback-japan-2017-4\" data-track-click=\"{&quot;element_name&quot;:&quot;body_link&quot;,&quot;event&quot;:&quot;tout_click&quot;,&quot;index&quot;:&quot;bi_value_unassigned&quot;,&quot;product_field&quot;:&quot;bi_value_unassigned&quot;}\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a Tamagotchi<\/a>, Sweekar can die from neglect.<\/p>\n<p>Takway AI said in a press release that it plans to launch Sweekar on Kickstarter later this year.
