Ariana Grande<\/a> has joked that she would \u201cneed an extra brain\u201d to release new music.<\/p>\n

The musician\u2019s last musical output was her\u00a0March 2024 album \u2018Eternal Sunshine\u2019<\/a>, an expanded deluxe version of which she shared in 2025, complete with six new tracks<\/a>.\u00a0She\u2019s now shared that she isn\u2019t interested in making new music at the moment, joking that she\u2019d require \u201can extra brain and four more arms\u201d to start working on an album.<\/p>\n

Her comments came up following an interview with Variety<\/a>, with the outlet reporting that there was \u201cdefinitely not\u201d new music coming \u201cbefore May\u201d.\u00a0She then added a message to fans: \u201cI love them so much, but sometimes I want to ask, \u2018Do you think there\u2019s another version of me out there who had time to write an album?\u2019 Not yet \u2013 but soon enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, in a follow-up comment shared to Instagram, Grande pushed back on that framing. \u201cWelp, I never said \u2018but soon enough\u2019 or mentioned any months! lol my goooooodness,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAll i said was \u2018no\u2019 and \u2018do they think there\u2019s a clone of me out there somewhere\u2019! there must\u2019ve been a Zoom glitch or something.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her comments led fans to speculate that she may be sharing new music before her upcoming \u2018Eternal Sunshine\u2019 tour<\/a>. In\u00a0a separate comment on that post, she wrote, \u201cMa\u2019am i would need an extra brain and four more arms.\u201d<\/p>\n

In late August, Grande\u00a0announced her first string of live shows since 2019, set to take place this summer<\/a>. The \u2018Eternal Sunshine\u2019 run will see her perform across the US between June and August, followed by a\u00a0whopping 10-show residency at The O2 in London<\/a>\u00a0between August and September\u00a0\u2013 you can find any remaining tickets\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After the announcement of the tour, Grande said it would likely be her \u201clast hurrah\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s rarely played live since she completed her huge 100-show tour in 2019<\/a>, only making a handful of appearances at non-profit events and\u00a0award shows<\/a>. She did reassure fans earlier this year, however, that\u00a0she wasn\u2019t \u201cabandoning\u201d music<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Back in November, she spoke of her \u201chealed\u201d relationship with music<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cUntil quite recently, it was really hard for me to navigate and I think it stripped a lot of joy out of this for me. And by the way,\u00a0I have a different team now<\/a>,\u201d she said, hinting at her\u00a02023 split from longtime manager Scooter Braun<\/a>\u00a0and now being able to balance her music and acting career without the pressure of the pop industry machine behind her. \u201cSaid with love, but that was a piece.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0four-star review of 2024\u2019s \u2018Eternal Sunshine\u2019<\/a>, Nick Levine wrote for\u00a0NME: \u201cIt\u2019s the most sophisticated project yet from a preternaturally talented vocalist who keeps getting better.
