TAMPA, Fla. \u2013 January 11, 2026 \u2014 The South Florida Bulls men’s basketball program continues its historic 2025-26 campaign, ascending to No. 56 in the NCAA NET Rankings, marking the highest position of the season and in program history.

\nThe 20-spot jump in the NET comes on the heels of a statement road victory and second Quad-1 win of the season, at Tulsa (No. 42), where the Bulls posted a 93-78 win over the Golden Hurricane.
\n\u00a0
\nThe win represented the fourth-highest NET-ranked opponent defeated in program history. Following the loss, Tulsa dropped to No. 55 in the latest NET rankings.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Bulls’ previous program record NET-ranking (No. 60) came following their Dec. 4, 2025, win over then No. 19 NET-ranked Utah State.\u00a0

\nBefore this season, the Bulls’ highest NET ranking had come at the end of the 2023-24 campaign when they reached No. 73\u00a0under former head coach Amir Abdur-Rahim.

\nThe NET Ranking \u2014 the NCAA Evaluation Tool used to assess team performance for postseason selection and seeding \u2014 was first introduced in the 2018\u201319 season, replacing the former RPI system. The NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) Ranking has become the NCAA’s primary sorting tool for evaluating Division I men’s basketball teams.

\nAbout USF Men’s Basketball
\nSouth Florida men’s basketball named Bryan Hodgson<\/a>, 37, as the program’s 12th head coach on March 24, 2025. Hodgson came to Tampa from Arkansas State, where he led the program to back-to-back 20-win seasons and its first postseason appearance since 1999 in his two seasons at the helm.

\nThe program, entering its 55th\u00a0season in 2025-26, most recently won the American Athletic Conference regular season championship in 2023-24 and has made 13 postseason appearances, including three NCAA Tournaments, nine NITs, and a CBI championship in 2019. Three former Bulls \u2013 Chucky Atkins, Charlie Bradley, and Rodenko Dobras \u2013 have had their jerseys retired and are members of the USF Athletic Hall of Fame.\u00a0The Bulls play their home games at the 10,400-seat Yuengling Center on the USF Tampa campus.<\/p>\n
