Spare a thought for the A-list. While the world hibernates, here they are back on the red carpet under the hot glare of the spotlight, the flashbulbs and our scrutiny.<\/p>\n

Just as the Met Gala occupies the first Monday in May, so the Golden Globes happens on an ungodly Sunday in January and stars tend to present with a radiant glow so befitting of the name, we can assume they didn\u2019t go too large at New Year.<\/p>\n

Take Jennifer Lawrence, for example, whose embroidered tulle Dior gown left very little to the imagination.<\/p>\n

Yet it was Zo\u00eb Kravitz who scooped the award for Most First-Week-Back-to-Work Outfit in a satin slip dress that looked suspiciously like her nightie<\/a>, albeit one from Saint Laurent.<\/p>\n

For the most part, however, the attendees seemed to be following the same January maxim as the rest of us: just wear black. Of course, for The Bear\u2019s Ayo Edebiri, it happens to come from Chanel: slash-necked, velvet-panelled and pinned with costume-jewellery brooches.<\/p>\n
