TCU able to make 55.4 percent of its shots, the highest by an ASU opponent this season, while the Sun Devils shot a season low 28.8 percent.
Although ASU (34 rebounds) had two fewer rebounds than TCU (36 rebounds), the Sun Devils had a big advantage on the offensive glass (12-4) and had twice as many second chance points as TCU (8-4).
Both teams had 17 turnovers, but ASU was able to have more success with turning miscues into offense as it was plus-five in points off turnovers (15-10).
Even though the Horned Frogs, who extended their winning streak at home to 36 games, were not as accurate from long range (36 percent), they made seven more 3-pointers than the Sun Devils (9-2).
The first quarter provided no indicator of the eventual outcome as the Sun Devils played the Horned Frogs on even terms. After the first 10 minutes, TCU held the slightest of leads, 14-13.
In the second quarter, TCU made 75 percent of its shots (9-12 FGs), including all three triples it attempted, and outscored the Sun Devils 21-7.
Trailing 35-20 at the half, ASU could not get within single digits at any point in the second half.

Up next

The Sun Devils will be back at home on Saturday (2 p.m. MST) when they face Kansas at Desert Financial Arena.

FORT WORTH, Texas – For only the second time in 18 games, the Sun Devil women’s basketball team…

[9
126935,126933,17078,85,46,105,126934
0":"post-233737","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-sports","8":"tag-arizona-state-athletics","9":"tag-arizona-state-sun-devils","10":"tag-arizona-state-university","11":"tag-il","12":"tag-israel","13":"tag-sports","14":"tag-sun-devils
["GET
