This new class of Globes winners kicked off with the first trophy of the evening, when Teyana Taylor<\/a> took home the prize for female supporting actor in a motion picture for her performance in \u201cOne Battle After Another\u201d as Perfidia Beverly Hills, a committed revolutionary coerced into giving up her comrades by a militant authoritarian state.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cMy babies are upstairs watching. Y\u2019all better be off them damn phones and watching me right now!\u201d began Taylor, who began her career in choreography and music before becoming a screen actor. \u00a0<\/p>\n Backstage after her win, Taylor confessed that she was still getting comfortable making the rounds as a winner.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThey said do not touch the microphone. What do I do? I touch it!\u201d she said before taking questions about her win. \u201cI\u2019m still gagging right now. I\u2019m filled with so much gratitude.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Rhea Seehorn<\/a>, who leads Apple TV+\u2019s arguably dystopian sci-fi series \u201cPluribus,\u201d emerged victorious with her first Globes nod ever, taking the prize for female actor in a drama tv series. After walking to the stage, she offered a personal anecdote about her category presenter, Queen Latifah, that recalled her earlier days in the business.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI met you about 20 years ago between jobs at Koo Koo Roo and you were so nice,\u201d Seehorn began, gathering her breath and drawing a smile from Latifah. \u201cI am still so grateful that I get to do this for a living, and this is incredible icing on that cake.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Netflix\u2019s limited series \u201cAdolescence\u201d dominated through the evening, taking home four trophies, including supporting acting prizes for Owen Cooper<\/a> and Erin Doherty<\/a> and a lead win for star and co-creator Stephen Graham<\/a> \u2013 all three of whom had never been nominated at the Globes before.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAdolescence\u201d has been a juggernaut through the television awards season, with the Globes just the latest feather in their cap.
