I\u2019m a greedy bitch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That may be debatable. But it is true that Smart, at age 74, was one of the oldest acting winners of the night. <a href=\"https:\/\/goldenglobes.com\/person\/stellan-skarsgard\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/a>, who is a slightly older 74, received the male supporting actor in a motion picture Golden Globe for \u201cSentimental Value.\u201d He acknowledged this when he said in his acceptance speech that \u201cI of course was not prepared for this, because I thought that I was too old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Backstage in the press room, Smart had some, well, rather smart words about aging in the industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomebody told me, years and years ago when I first got to LA, that there was one role for a woman for every 20 roles per man, which was really depressing,\u201d she said. \u201cThey also said that the average age difference between a husband and a wife in the United States is a little hair over two years, and on the screen, it\u2019s 20.
