The royals are known for wearing tiaras during State Visits, and the next one has been revealed. <\/p>\n
The King and Queen will host a State Visit in March as the President of Nigeria will return to the UK for the first time in over 30 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt can be revealed that the King and Queen will host the president of Nigeria on a State Visit to the U.K. in March, the first such visit since 1989,\u201d The Times stated. <\/p>\n
The Princess of Wales may be seen in a tiara again in March <\/p>\n

The visit has not been confirmed by Buckingham Palace, but should it take place, it would mark the first visit of 2026.<\/p>\n
Charles and Camilla hosted three State Visits in 2025, inviting French President Emmanuel Macron, United States President Donald Trump, and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier between July and December.<\/p>\n
Queen Elizabeth II last hosted Nigeria when she welcomed General Ibrahim Babangida for a State Visit to the UK in May 1989.<\/p>\n
At the last State Visit, which was for German President Steinmeier, Kate opted for Queen Victoria\u2019s Oriental Circlet Tiara, made of diamonds and rubies, which was designed by the German-born Prince Albert.<\/p>\n
She also wore a purple-blue, floor-length sequinned gown with flowing cape shoulder detail by Jenny Packham.<\/p>\n
She paired them with the late Queen\u2019s earrings, the Royal Family Order and the GCVO Sash and Star.<\/p>\n

The royal headpiece was the fifth time Kate has stepped out with a tiara, but this was the biggest to date.<\/p>\n
According to Garrard, the tiara was crafted in 1853 for Queen Victoria under the direction of her husband, Prince Albert.<\/p>\n
The choice may have been a nod to Prince Albert, who was from Germany.<\/p>\n
The sparkling accessory features 2,600 diamonds and was originally set with opals before Queen Alexandra later replaced the gems with rubies.<\/p>\n
The tiara has also been worn by the late Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth II, the late monarch wore it once during a 2005 trip to Malta.<\/p>\n
