The new ‘Passbook Lite’ feature, integrated within the member portal, allows users to view a summarised version of their PF account in a simpler format without visiting a separate portal.

For members seeking a more detailed view, including graphical representations of transactions, the existing Passbook Portal remains available.

This dual approach is expected to reduce portal congestion and streamline operations while maintaining comprehensive access for users.

Direct access to Transfer Certificates (Annexure K)

Another key reform enables members to directly download Annexure K (Transfer Certificate) in PDF format from the member portal.

Previously, this certificate—used when PF accounts are transferred after a job change—was only shared between PF offices and accessible to members on request.

This change allows members to:

Track the status of PF transfer applications online

Verify that PF balances and service periods are correctly updated

Maintain a permanent digital record for future reference, crucial for EPS (Employees’ Pension Scheme) calculations

Faster approvals and reduced processing time

EPFO has also rationalised its approval hierarchy. Services such as PF transfers, settlements, advances, refunds, cheque/ECS/NEFT returns, and interest adjustments no longer require multiple layers of higher-level approvals. Powers previously held by RPFCs or Officers-in-Charge are now delegated to Assistant PF Commissioners and subordinate levels.

This reform is expected to:

Accelerate claim settlements

Simplify the approval process

Improve accountability at field offices

Enhance transparency and member satisfaction

Mansukh Mandaviya said these reforms focus on ease of access, transparency, and efficient service delivery. By providing a single-login experience, integrating APIs, and enabling direct access to key documents, EPFO aims to reduce grievances and strengthen trust among members.

-With PTI inputs

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced significant digital reforms aimed at simplifying access to Provident Fund…

[14
114,15134,21684,21685,21687,21686,268,85,46,21683,266,267
0":"post-23917","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-personal-finance","8":"tag-business","9":"tag-epfo","10":"tag-epfo-changes","11":"tag-epfo-new-changes","12":"tag-epfo-passbook","13":"tag-epfo-passbook-lite","14":"tag-finance","15":"tag-il","16":"tag-israel","17":"tag-passbook-lite","18":"tag-personal-finance","19":"tag-personalfinance
["GET
