Ross County has accused a small number of its young fans of causing problems inside and outside its ground during home games.<\/p>\n
A flare was thrown on to the pitch in Dingwall after County scored its first goal in a 2-0 win over Partick Thistle on Friday night.<\/p>\n
The Championship club said a youth was detained and handed over to police.<\/p>\n
Pyrotechnics are illegal in football stadiums, and Ross County said it was fortunate no-one was injured.<\/p>\n
The club said its stewards and staff took a zero-tolerance approach to unacceptable behaviour.<\/p>\n
It said: “A small element of young supporters has emerged in recent times, intent on causing problems outside and inside the ground.<\/p>\n
“This will not be tolerated.<\/p>\n
“The club will continue to work with all supporters to create an enjoyable match day experience and create a positive atmosphere where safety is not compromised.”<\/p>\n
The club added: “Those who come intent on causing problems are not welcome.”<\/p>\n
