That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime<\/a>, one of Crunchyroll’s longest-running, top-rated isekai anime (not to mention the slimiest), finally confirmed its official Season 4 release date for this year. <\/p>\n

Season 4 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is scheduled to be released on April 3, 2026, per the official anime website<\/a>. The isekai anime’s fourth season will consist of five cours (a quarter of a year), with the first two cours airing back-to-back. This massive Season 4 release schedule takes the slime anime closer to its official conclusion<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Reincarnated as a Slime: Crunchyroll’s Slimiest Isekai Anime Confirms Season 4 Premiere<\/p>\n

Part 1 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 will begin broadcasting on Friday, April 3, 2026. Eight Bit continues its anime adaptation of the isekai light novel by writer Fuse and artist Mitz Vah.<\/p>\n

In addition to the gigantic Season 4 order, a brand-new slime anime movie will be released this year. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea is scheduled for release<\/a> in Japan on Friday, February 27, 2026. Crunchyroll officially acquired the worldwide theatrical rights for the upcoming film.<\/p>\n

Tears of the Azure Sea, the second original anime slime movie that follows That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie \u2013 Scarlet Bond (2022), introduces three original anime characters to the franchise: Zodon (Koichi Domoto), Yura (Saori Onishi), and Djeese (Koji Yusa). <\/p>\n

“I was delighted to be given the chance to play Zodon, a role unlike anything I have portrayed before,” Koichi Domoto told Oricon in November 2025. “I also had a wonderful time during the recording sessions. It is a great honor to participate in Slime, a series with so many fans.” Domoto added, “Whether you are a longtime follower of the franchise or someone new to it, this movie offers an exciting experience for all.”<\/p>\n

Saori Ohnishi also spoke positively about her upcoming debut in the new slime isekai anime movie: “I am very happy to join the long-loved Slime franchise through this theatrical release. Yura encounters Rimuru and his friends while they are on vacation, and a new story begins from there. But who exactly is Yura? Please find out in theaters.”<\/p>\n

“Jies is a chancellor trusted deeply by the king and respected by the people,” Koji Yusa said about his role. “He is someone who fulfills his role with dignity. Please watch to see what kind of events he gets caught up in throughout this film.”<\/p>\n

Release dates for the remaining Season 4 cours of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime have yet to be announced. The previous seasons, specials and first theatrical movie are available to stream on Crunchyroll.<\/p>\n

“Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn in an alternate world,” Crunchyroll’s official description of Reincarnated as a Slime reads. “But he turns out to be reborn as a slime!
