(WFIE) &#8211; A Cincinnati man is on a mission to bring awareness to mental health struggles, and he\u2019s doing that while kayaking 6,000 miles on the river.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The man, Joseph Solomon, made a stop in Evansville after traveling 14 days on the Ohio river, and he says during his stops, he\u2019s met a lot of people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He says back in 2012 his life changed following a life-threatening reaction to anesthesia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Soloman says the aftermath brought a number of mental health challenges, ending his nursing career and leaving him searching for meaning, but he says a kayak and the open water have helped.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He\u2019s heading north now toward the Mississippi River and will then back to Cincinnati.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Soloman has a website where you can donate towards the cause.
