\n\tAs Ashton Kutcher<\/a> steps into the Murphy-verse with The Beauty<\/a>, he\u2019s acknowledging the show\u2019s similarities to The Substance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor recently explained how the FX series, which premieres Jan. 21 at 9pm ET\/PT, speaks to the \u201cbigger context\u201d of cosmetic enhancement becoming so normalized, which he praised in his ex Demi Moore<\/a>\u2018s Coralie Fargeat-helmed film.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOne, Demi Moore\u2019s performance, obviously she got extraordinary accolades,\u201d he told Entertainment Tonight<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m so proud of her. She killed it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKutcher continued, \u201cThe bigger context though, is cosmetic enhancement is becoming increasingly predominant and accepted. I started modeling when I was like 19, and what I realized really quickly is that everybody had an insecurity. You look in the mirror long enough, you\u2019ll find something you don\u2019t like, or that you think could be better, or you think could be different.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cRhinoplasty or transplants or whatever it is, there\u2019s like a social acceptance of, \u2018That makes that person feel happy.\u2019 And that\u2019s what matters more than any aesthetic outcome. And sometimes, this things come with unintended consequences, and I think that that\u2019s the other piece of the puzzle,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
