\u2018If You Had My Love\u2018 hitmaker Jennifer Lopez<\/a> may be getting her fair share of love from critics and attendees of her current \u2018Up All Night<\/a>\u2018 residency in Las Vegas alike, but there\u2019s one who\u2019s been none-too-impressed with what he\u2019s seen of the spectacle: comedian Aries Spears.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram at the top of the year, the funnyman was doing anything but laughing when he posted a clip from Lopez\u2019s residency (like the one above) to lambast the diva\u2019s vocal performances.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo the people that get upset with the people that critique J Lo\u2019s singing and call them haters and say her voice is beautiful, what is wrong with you guys? Are you that delusional and sensitive what is wrong with your ears? She\u2019s off key she\u2019s not on pitch and she can barely hold certain notes,\u201d he told<\/a> his 1.6 million followers on the platform at the time. \u201cIt\u2019s not hate, it\u2019s honesty.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The staunch criticism quickly rubbed fans of the \u2018Get Right\u2019 singer the wrong way, earning him jeers in the comment section of the clip.<\/p>\n

Unfazed, Spears \u2013 hot on the promo trail for his 2026 comedy tour<\/a> \u2013 doubled down on his stance in recent interviews with VLADTV and \u2018Big Boy in the Neighborhood.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cJennifer Lopez looks good for her age, but she can\u2019t sing worth a damn. When you [think of] Mariah Carey, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion, we\u2019re talking about female vocalists who bring the thunder,\u201d he told VLAD. \u201cPeople make excuses [for J.Lo] and say, \u2018she never said she was the best singer.\u2019 Well, then don\u2019t f-cking sing! Why do you have a residency in Vegas?\u201d<\/p>\n

When later quizzed by Big Boy about the negative reaction he\u2019s gotten from commenters about his continued criticism of J.Lo, Aries stood his ground.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people online and in your comments will say, \u2018oh, you\u2019re a hater.\u2019 [I\u2019m not], I\u2019m honest and I\u2019m opinionated. We\u2019re not allowed to be that any more,\u201d Spears said to Big Boy when asked about the backlash. \u201cI\u2019m just stating facts. Like in that clip I posted, it\u2019s clear; she\u2019s off key, off pitch, and can\u2019t hold certain notes\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
