Perrie Edwards<\/a> and her fianc\u00e9, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, are celebrating the arrival of their second child.<\/p>\n

On Saturday (Jan. 17), the 32-year-old Little Mix<\/a> singer announced on Instagram<\/a> that she and the professional soccer player, 32, welcomed a baby girl.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlanis Valentine,\u201d Edwards captioned a sweet black-and-white photo of the newborn, adding pink heart emojis.<\/p>\n

The adorable snapshot shows Alanis snuggled against her mother\u2019s chest while her parents and the couple\u2019s 4-year-old son, Axel, gently rest their hands on her back.<\/p>\n

Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain, who got engaged in 2022<\/a>, revealed in September 2025 that they were expecting another child<\/a>. In a video shared on Instagram at the time, the singer wore a T-shirt reading, \u201cIf He Wanted To He Would\u2026\u201d on the back. As she turned around, she revealed her baby bump along with a second message on the front that read, \u201c\u2026and He Did!\u201d<\/p>\n

Moments later, Oxlade-Chamberlain and their son joined her in the frame, sharing a sweet family embrace.<\/p>\n

The happy announcement came after Edwards previously shared her experience with a heartbreaking pregnancy loss following Axel\u2019s birth in 2021. Speaking candidly on the We Need to Talk<\/a> podcast in August 2025, the singer reflected on one of the most challenging periods of her life.<\/p>\n

\u201cAxel wasn\u2019t even walking yet and we were pregnant,\u201d the former X Factor star said. \u201cI found out when I was rehearsing for the Little Mix tour. I was at rehearsals and I thought, \u2018Oh I don\u2019t feel good.\u2019 Every symptom under the sun so I was like, \u2018I think I\u2019m pregnant.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Although tests confirmed she was expecting again, Edwards said something didn\u2019t feel right once she began touring in April 2022 with bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall. Despite early reassurance from doctors, she later received devastating news during her 20-week scan.<\/p>\n
