\n\tA$AP Rocky<\/a> debuted on Saturday Night Live<\/a> with three songs from his new album, Don\u2019t Be Dumb<\/a>, which dropped Friday.<\/p>\n \n\tThe Harlem-born<\/a> rapper, who held an album release party<\/a> not far from the SNL<\/a> studio late Thursday night, opened with lead single \u201cPunk Rocky.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n \n\tDon\u2019t Be Dumb is Rocky\u2019s fourth studio album and first since 2018\u2019s Testing. The 37-year-old isn\u2019t concerned about the frequency of his output, but taking the time to craft a legacy.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI don\u2019t do all these different endeavours just because I got to be the first at the top of the mountain and plant the flag. Because it\u2019s not really about who did it first. It\u2019s about who did it the best,\u201d he told<\/a> Perfect Magazine last fall. \u201cI don\u2019t do things to just try and stay relevant, or keep my name in the conversation. I try to do natural things, creative, ambitious things that really satisfy me.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tRocky\u2019s second performance was a medley of \u201cHelicopter\u201d<\/a> and the album\u2019s title track.<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\tThe 15-track album features collaborations with nearly as many artists; the list includes Will.i.am, Doechii, Gorillaz, Jon Batiste and Tyler, the Creator. Filmmaker Tim Burton created the album\u2019s cover art, which shows Rocky\u2019s six personas.<\/p>\n
