Joe Jonas might be quietly confirming a new romance on Instagram \u2014 even as his ex, Sophie Turner, keeps finding herself reminding the internet that their kids do have two parents. In a recent photo carousel, the Jonas Brothers singer slipped in a shot of his black studded loafer beside an unidentified woman\u2019s stiletto-clad foot. Naturally, fans immediately took it as Jonas \u201csoft-launching\u201d a relationship<\/a> with model Tatiana Gabriela.<\/p>\n

The Instagram post, which you can see HERE,<\/a> captioned \u201cEnjoying my pinecone,\u201d was shared on January 16 and featured Jonas dining out and making music \u2014 but slide six caused the stir. It showed the contrasting footwear, which followers assumed belonged to 28-year-old Tatiana Gabriela, a Puerto Rican model linked to Jonas in recent months. \u201cTHE SHOES MAKES ME SO HAPPY FOR Y\u2019ALL! OH MY FREAKING HEART!\u201d one commenter cheered, while another asked if this was indeed a \u201csoft launch\u201d of the romance.<\/p>\n

This coy snapshot comes after weeks of speculation: Jonas and Gabriela were first spotted on low-key coffee dates late last summer, and have since been seen together in multiple cities, including New York and Miami. Insiders say the pair have gotten more serious \u2014 Gabriela has even met Jonas\u2019 friends, family, and his two young daughters with Turner. According to a source from People<\/a>, Jonas \u201ctrusts her around his kids,\u201d noting that this new relationship \u201cseems different\u201d from his brief post-divorce dating ventures.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s the context people keep pretending isn\u2019t there: even though they are still navigating their relationship post-divorce, <\/a>Jonas and Turner share two kids. His comment section gets to play detective over a stiletto, while hers turns into a custody FAQ any time she posts a life \u2014 even though, by mid-2025, sources described their co-parenting as \u201cmutually respectful,\u201d <\/a>and Jonas has called it \u201ca beautiful co-parenting relationship,\u201d describing Turner as an \u201cincredible mom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, Turner posted photos from an Oasis concert with friends and got a snarky comment accusing her of having \u201cforgotten\u201d her two kids<\/a>. She didn\u2019t let it slide: \u201cSo\u2026 get this\u2026 There\u2019s this crazy thing called shared custody. Maybe, just maybe, they were with their dad that day,\u201d she replied \u2014 a response that quickly made the rounds. Others pointed out the obvious double standard: no one would say the same to Joe Jonas for going out without his children.<\/p>\n

In May 2024, Turner addressed the tabloid narrative around their split that painted her as a \u201cpartier\u201d<\/a> and questioned her motherhood \u2014 something she said \u201churt,\u201d especially while she was filming in the U.K. and separated from her daughters.<\/p>\n

Jonas can post a shoe and let people squeal; Turner posts a night out and has to defend the premise that her kids have a dad. That imbalance is unfortunately familiar to a lot of millennial moms who are also in the business of co-parenting with an ex \u2014 not because their ex is famous, but because the internet still treats motherhood like a full-time job without any breaks.<\/p>\n
