Check out their comments below:

Susanna Fogel: We would love it. We’re planning for one.

David Iserson: Yeah, we are planning for one. We are putting everything together to do it. But I will just be as transparent with you as I can: We do not know.

Fogel and Iserson were asked if they considered an ending that provided more emotional resolution, but confirmed that this was never the case, as they had always pitched it to Peacock as an ongoing series with numerous seasons planned. They also tease expanding the future scope beyond Moscow and making the story more international.

David Iserson: No. We always pitched this as an ongoing television show, which, for a while, was kind of out of vogue, but now I think it is back. We didn’t see this as a closed story from any version of it. When we approached our actors, it was hard to cast a show with famous people. It’s much easier to say, “Oh, we need to be there for six months.” So, all the actors knew that going in, and when we sold this show to Peacock, we told them the whole story, covering multiple seasons. It changed, but there are things that we will hold on to from the beginning.

Susanna Fogel: For us, this friendship and these girls are the pleasure of the show. As David was saying, when you’re trying to entice people to sign away seven years of their life, you’re like, “I promise it’ll be worth it.” Or 12 years of your life. When you’re talking about different ways to keep a show feeling fresh, even in the spy genre, there are so many ways we could reset in future seasons. It feels like we’ve done a lot of twists and turns with Cold War stuff with the KGB. Where could they go? Do we ever have an episode where they leave Russia? They have international jobs now, so we’ve talked about doing a lot there, too.

As for what else viewers can expect in Ponies season 2, Iserson hints at “more kissing” and questions what Bea will do when she learns that her husband, Chris Grant (Louis Boyer) is still alive. Fogel discusses an expansion of “complicated loyalties” and “empowerment.”

Susanna Fogel: More intrigue and more complicated loyalties. We’ve woven as tangled a web as we can, and now we want to just keep tangling it and making it more complicated. We asked the question in a very simple way at the beginning. These women are on a mission that is, on the surface, about their husbands and this mystery, but ultimately it’s about empowerment and finding themselves and finding their ability to connect to another person whom they can learn from. But then that gets turned over and over and over throughout the season, and we just want to keep on turning it.

While Chris is now confirmed to be alive, Iserson reveals that Twila’s husband, Tom Hasbeck (John Macmillan), “is dead. I want to reveal that to Collider. Tom is really dead.”

Both Bea and Twila believe their husbands died and discovering the truth behind their deaths was a driving force behind their decision to work undercover for the CIA. Twila was also told that Tom was the KGB’s mole, but now she and Bea know that it was actually Chris.

These are among the several game-changing revelations from the finale that Bea and Twila will have to grapple with in a potential season 2, although they will first need to figure out a way to survive and escape Andrei and the KGB. Despite these life-or-death stakes, they will seemingly still find time for more romance in season 2 based on Iserson’s remark about more kissing.

With it only being less than a week since Ponies debuted on Peacock, it is too soon to know if the show will be renewed. Being in second place on the platform’s streaming charts, only behind the U.S. version of the reality show The Traitors, bodes well for a renewal, though.

Given the “Certified Fresh” 95% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, Ponies’ reviews have also been stellar. This is nearly on par with Slow Horses at 97%, and the Apple TV series has released five seasons and is confirmed for a sixth one as well.

                                            Release Date

         January 15, 2026

                                            Network

               Peacock

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Peacock’s Ponies.Peacock’s new spy thriller series Ponies, which has drawn favorable comparisons…

[29
146,85,46,411
0":"post-246080","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tv","8":"tag-entertainment","9":"tag-il","10":"tag-israel","11":"tag-tv
["GET
