For months now, it\u2019s been pretty clear that something weird has been going on between Brooklyn Beckham and his family. Since his wedding to Nicola Peltz in April 2022, the tabloids have offered a near-constant stream of intel about the famous family\u2019s interpersonal beef. All the Beckhams have largely stayed silent throughout it all, letting the rumors (and Instagram activity<\/a>) do the talking. That is, until\u00a0Monday, when Brooklyn released a lengthy statement about his parents on his Instagram Story. In the statement, Brooklyn accused his family of trying to \u201cruin\u201d his relationship and hit back against the gossip that Nicola \u201ccontrols him,\u201d calling it \u201ccompletely backwards\u201d and claiming he has instead been \u201ccontrolled by my parents for most of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,\u201d Brooklyn wrote. \u201cUnfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.\u201d<\/p>\n Brooklyn\u2019s post included some wild claims about his and Nicola\u2019s wedding, including that she had to find a new dress \u201cin the eleventh hour\u201d after his mother, Victoria Beckham, apparently backed out of designing the dress at the last minute. \u201cThe night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was \u2018not blood\u2019 and \u2018not family,\u2019\u201d Brooklyn added.<\/p>\n Brooklyn also claimed Victoria \u201chijacked\u201d his first dance with Nicola. \u201cIn front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,\u201d he wrote. \u201cShe danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I\u2019ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.\u201d He also accused Victoria of inviting \u201cwomen from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.\u201d (It\u2019s unclear whether this was a reference to his brother Romeo Beckham\u2019s relationship with Kim Turnbull<\/a>, who Brooklyn is believed to have previously dated.)<\/p>\n Brooklyn claimed\u00a0his brothers, Romeo and Cruz Beckham, \u201cwere sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last Summer\u201d \u2014 contradicting Cruz\u2019s claim<\/a> from December that it was Brooklyn who blocked his brothers.<\/p>\n
