More than 1,200 volunteers will take part in the live performances, bringing contemporary symphonic compositions to life and showcasing amazing costumes inspired by Italy\u2019s artistic heritage.<\/p>\n<p>Marco Balich: &#8220;We want to offer a message of harmony, beauty and peace that can be understood by everyone&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Opening Ceremony is not about technology or spectacle alone,\u201d said Marco\u00a0Balich. \u201cIt is about people, emotion and humanity. In a complex world, we want to offer a message of harmony, beauty and peace that can be understood by everyone.\u201d The ambition is to create epic and emotional moments that will be remembered long after the Games, beyond technical innovation. \u201cBeauty is not only about aesthetics\u201d he added, but about values, kindness, generosity and true beauty within.<\/p>\n<p>The two Cauldrons<\/p>\n<p>One of the Ceremony\u2019s memorable elements will be the Olympic Cauldrons. For the first time in the history of the Olympic and\u00a0Paralympic Games, the Flame will burn simultaneously in two different locations: Milano (Arco della Pace) and Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo (Piazza Angelo Dibona). Inspired by Italian design excellence and Leonardo da Vinci\u2019s geometric studies, they have been conceived as \u201cdynamic cauldrons that will perform every day\u201d, coming to life through \u201cmovement and epic music\u201d to create a powerful emotional experience for spectators.<\/p>\n<p>A celebration of people, art and culture, the Opening Ceremony will feature internationally renowned artists alongside some of Italy\u2019s most iconic voices, including Andrea\u00a0Bocelli and Laura Pausini.<\/p>\n<p>Marco\u00a0Balich also revealed that \u201cMariah Carey will be singing in Italian\u201d, turning the stadium into a shared, collective moment.
