The RT\u00c9 Choice Music Prize Irish Artist of The Year 2025 Nominees have just been announced on Tracy Clifford’s show on RT\u00c9 2FM – huge congratulations to all the nominees!<\/p>\n
The winner will be announced live on RT\u00c9 2FM in a special Choice Music Prize show from Vicar St, Dublin on Thursday 5th March, hosted by Beta Da Silva and featuring performances from some of the shortlisted artists – tickets are on sale now.<\/p>\n

1. Amble<\/p>\n
The folk trio whose debut album Reverie was a major breakout, topping Irish charts, earning huge streams, selling out shows including multiple Dublin 3Arena dates, and supporting Hozier on his North American tour.<\/p>\n

2. CMAT<\/p>\n
The Dunboyne singer-songwriter whose third album Euro-Country was among 2025’s standout Irish releases, earning widespread acclaim, major festival slots and a nomination for the Choice Prize Album of the Year.<\/p>\n

3. Kingfishr<\/p>\n
Limerick-based band whose folk\/indie sound saw their track Killeagh become one of the most-streamed Irish songs of the year and propelled them into mainstream success with multiple hits and a memorable Electric Picnic appearance.<\/p>\n

4. Kneecap<\/p>\n
The Belfast Irish-language rap continued to make waves in 2025 with awards for their acclaimed biopic, memorable festival (and court) appearances, and recognition worldwide as one of Ireland’s most exciting and outspoken acts.<\/p>\n

5. R\u00d3IS<\/p>\n
Fermanagh composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist blending sean-n\u00f3s, folk and electronic music; her acclaimed Mo L\u00e9an project and immersive live performances earned critical praise and broader attention throughout 2025.<\/p>\n
