\u201cThe Kelly Clarkson\u201d<\/a> show may be ending this spring.<\/p>\n

Both Page Six<\/a> and Entertainment Tonight<\/a> spoke with multiple sources this week who claimed the \u201cSince You\u2019ve Been Gone\u201d singer wouldn\u2019t be returning for a new season after this current installment ends.<\/p>\n

One source told Page Six that her exit from the show was \u201cdefinite,\u201d while another said it\u2019s \u201clikely that [the show] will not go on.\u201d They added: \u201c[Her show] is a lot to put on, and looking at the landscape across daytime television, it\u2019s not sustainable anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight\u2019s source was even more adamant about the \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d alum\u2019s departure. \u201cKelly is done. The series will end after this season.\u201c\u2060 The outlet further reported that the show is expected to make an official announcement in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

These reports come months after NBC executives were allegedly already scouting for a potential replacement for Clarkson on her eponymous talk show<\/a>. In May, a network insider told Page Six that former “Today” show co-anchor Hoda Kotb<\/a> was one of the names being tossed around.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a long list of names and Hoda is part of that list,\u201d the source said, adding, \u201cNBC never wanted Hoda to leave.\u201d For context, Kotb left \u201cToday\u201d last January after 26 years.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s unlikely that Kotb will be Clarkson\u2019s successor. This week, Kotb launched her own celebrity interview series<\/a> on YouTube called \u201cJoy Rides.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Kelly Clarkson Show\u201d is currently in its seventh season, which premiered in September and is slated to wrap this spring. The potential ending comes during a difficult year for Clarkson\u2019s family. <\/p>\n

Over the summer, her children\u2014River, 11, and Remington, 9\u2014suffered a major loss when their father, Brandon Blackstock<\/a>, passed away at 48 following a three-year battle with cancer.<\/p>\n

Clarkson and Blackstock married in 2013 and divorced in 2020. Blackstock also served as Clarkson\u2019s manager, and their split was followed by significant legal disputes regarding management agreements and custody.<\/p>\n

In a fan Q&A session<\/a> earlier this year, Clarkson gave an update on how her kids were coping. \u201cThere\u2019s been a lot for our family recently, and so I have allowed my kids to sleep with me quite a bit. So it\u2019s my two dogs, my kids and me. It\u2019s a lot,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She added that their morning \u201csnuggles\u201d have become her favorite part of the day. \u201cIt\u2019s been really special, though. The conversations you have during that time are pretty cute. So that\u2019s probably my favorite time of day,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Kelly Clarkson Show\u201d films in Studio 6A at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.
