Created by Peter S. Fischer, Richard Levinson, and William Link, the original crime drama television series starred Angela Lansbury as Jessica Fletcher. It ran for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996.<\/p>\n<p>Who is directing Jamie Lee Curtis\u2019 adaptation of Murder She Wrote?<\/p>\n<p>Per <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2026\/film\/news\/jamie-lee-curtis-murder-she-wrote-jason-moore-director-1236636352\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Variety<\/a>, the new Murder She Wrote movie will be directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/tag\/jason-moore\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jason Moore<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Moore is best known for directing 2012\u2019s Pitch Perfect with Anna Kendrick, which launched a franchise at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/tag\/universal-pictures\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Universal Pictures<\/a>. He then made 2015\u2019s Sisters with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, along with 2022\u2019s Shotgun Wedding starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Moore directed the pilot episode for Elle, the upcoming Legally Blonde prequel TV show that is expected to premiere on Prime Video later this year. He\u2019s also directed episodes of shows like Dawson\u2019s Creek, Everwood, One Tree Hill, Brothers &amp; Sisters, and Trophy Wife.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline\u2019s article further notes, \u201cIn April, he will direct the revival of the Tony Award-winning\u00a0Avenue Q\u00a0on the West End. After that, he\u2019s set to direct two book adaptations: Guncle,\u00a0based on the bestseller by Steven Rowley, and Emma Straub\u2019s novel\u00a0This Time Tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Plot details for the Murder She Wrote movie remain under wraps at this time. Nobody has been publicly cast in the film as of yet besides Curtis.
