\n\tUma Thurman, Sarah Shahi, Rachel Hilson, Ellie Bamber and Clifton Collins Jr. are among the returning cast for the sequel <\/a>to Amazon MGM Studios\u2019 hit rom-com \u201cRed, White & Royal Blue,\u201d which is now in production.<\/p>\n

\n\tNicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez star as Prince Henry, third in line to the British throne, and Alex Claremont-Diaz (Zakhar Perez), the First Son of the United States, respectively, whose unexpected romance is at the heart of the film series. In \u201cRed White & Royal Blue,\u201d their relationship evolves from a heated rivalry to an even hotter love story \u2014 though it\u2019s all complicated by the international spotlight.<\/p>\n

\n\tThurman plays U.S. President Ellen Claremont, while Collins is her husband, Congressman Oscar Diaz. Shahi is Zahra Bankston, the Claremonts\u2019 deputy chief of staff. Hilson plays Nora Halleran, Alex\u2019s best friend and the granddaughter of the vice president. Bamber plays Henry\u2019s sister Princess Beatrice, whose wedding is the one mentioned in the film\u2019s title. <\/p>\n

\n\tGalitzine and Zakhar Perez took to social media to announce the production start and to clarify that Alex and Henry\u2019s wedding was far in the future.<\/p>\n

\n\tStephen Fry (Henry\u2019s grandfather, King James III), Thomas Flynn (Henry\u2019s elder brother, Prince Philip), Aneesh Sheth (Amy, a secret service agent) and Malcolm Atobrah (Henry\u2019s best friend Percy) also reprise their roles from the first film, with Henry Ashton (\u201cA Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,\u201d \u201cA Good Girl\u2019s Guide to Murder\u201d) and Alex H\u00f8gh Andersen (\u201cVikings,\u201d \u201cThe Room Next Door\u201d) joining the cast.<\/p>\n

\n\tJamie Babbit (\u201cBut I\u2019m a Cheerleader,\u201d \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d) is directing the sequel<\/a> from a script by Gemma Burgess, Matthew L\u00f3pez and the book series\u2019 author Casey McQuiston. Details of the film\u2019s plot are being kept under wraps.<\/p>\n

\n\tBerlanti Schechter Films\u2019 Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter also return to produce the sequel, joined by the banner\u2019s Michael McGrath, as well as L\u00f3pez and Sullivan Street Productions\u2019 Jennifer Salke.
