\n\tChris Noth<\/a> is finally discussing the end of his friendship with Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a>. The two were co-stars for many years on \u201cSex and the City<\/a>\u201d as Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw, roles they reprised in the \u201cSex and the City\u201d movies and the HBO Max follow-up series \u201cAnd Just Like That.\u201d Noth said on an upcoming episode of \u201cReally Famous With Kara Mayer Robinson\u201d (via People<\/a>) that Parker\u2019s response to the sexual assault allegations against him effectively ended their personal and professional relationship.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re not friends, I think that\u2019s pretty obvious,\u201d Noth said. \u201cThe statement that they put out \u2014 which was nothing more than brand management, really \u2014 I don\u2019t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising. Because you need to call me and hear my side of this. You\u2019ve known me for many years, and we\u2019ve worked [together] for many years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNoth was accused of sexual assault by two women in early December 2021. Three more women came forward with further allegations in the weeks that followed. He was quickly dropped by his management team at A3 Artists Agency and was fired from his series regular role on the CBS procedural \u201cThe Equalizer.\u201d A scene he shot as Mr. Big for the \u201cAnd Just Like That\u201d Season 1 finale was also removed by HBO Max before airing in early 2022. Noth\u00a0called the accusations<\/a>\u00a0\u201ccategorically false\u201d in a December 2021 statement, adding, \u201cIt\u2019s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don\u2019t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShortly after the initial allegations were made, Parker and her \u201cSex and the City\u201d co-stars Cynthia Nixon\u00a0and\u00a0Kristin Davis issued a joint statement that read: \u201cWe are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNoth now told Kara Mayer Robinson: \u201cI get it, that\u2019s more Hollywood than Hollywood. But before you make that statement, you know me, you\u2019ve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this. And that didn\u2019t happen, and that was too bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat\u2019s gained is good,\u201d the actor added. \u201cYou know where people stand and you know who your real friends are and who they\u2019re not. That\u2019s important to know.\u00a0 I just know if it had been on the other hand, I wouldn\u2019t have done that\u2026 That was hurtful, and it really affected everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNoth and Parker\u2019s soured friendship recently made headlines <\/a>after Noth showed support for an Instagram comment that read \u201cfuck SJP,\u201d referring to Parker\u2019s initials. The actor\u00a0later clarified he was just making an \u201coff-the-cuff, slightly sarcastic\u201d comment. He spoke on the record\u00a0to USA Today<\/a>\u00a0in 2022 about the allegations for the first time.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s nothing I can say to change anyone\u2019s mind when you have that kind of a tidal wave,\u201d Noth\u00a0said at the time. \u201cIt sounds defensive. I\u2019m not. There\u2019s no criminal court. There\u2019s no criminal trial. There\u2019s nothing for me to get on the stand about and get my story out, get witnesses. And there\u2019s even more absurd add-ons that are completely ridiculous, that have absolutely no basis in fact.
