Yeah, we\u2019re thinking Denzel Curry<\/a> is back. After recently joining forces<\/a> with Maxo Kream and JPEGMAFIA, the Florida rapper has announced The Scythe, a new supergroup with A$AP Ferg<\/a>, Bktherula, TiaCorine, and Key Nyata. Their debut album, Strictly 4 the Scythe, is due out on March 6th via Loma Vista Recordings. Along with the announcement, the group has shared the lead single, \u201cLit Effect.\u201d Stream it below.<\/p>\n

Hearkening back to Curry\u2019s early days as a member of Raider Klan,\u00a0Strictly 4 the Scythe is said to combine his unique style with \u201cclassically gritty Southern sounds and the creative force of each artist,\u201d centering on the core of hip-hop \u201cacross eras, paying homage to the South\u2019s great musical legacy\u201d while ushering in\u00a0a \u201crising new guard.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Scythe is a family and a group,\u201d Curry added in a press statement. \u201cWe still have our respective solo careers, but when we come together, it\u2019s The Scythe.\u201d Pre-orders<\/a> for the album are ongoing.<\/p>\n
