Primitive War 2 <\/p>\n
Variety<\/a> reports a sequel to Primitive War, last year\u2019s film about dinosaurs in the Vietnam War, is already in \u201clate development,\u201d and plans to shoot in Queensland, Australia, later this year. Described as a \u201cdarker, more intense escalation\u201d of the previous film that\u2019s somehow also a \u201cmore grounded war epic,\u201d the sequel concerns \u201ca new U.S. platoon sent into an increasingly unstable valley, where competing kill zones, rival apex predators and secret Cold War agendas converge. As containment collapses, the mission becomes one of survival\u2014and the cost of failure threatens to extend far beyond the battlefield.\u201d<\/p>\n Dragon Cursed <\/p>\n Deadline<\/a> reports Amazon MGM Studios has secured the film rights to Elise Kova\u2019s fantasy novel, Dragon Cursed. \u201cSet in a fantastical world amidst the last human stronghold against dragons in which every teenager must survive brutal trials meant to separate dragon hunters from the dragon cursed,\u201d the story concerns \u201ca young woman [who] enters the trials [while] hiding a deadly secret, placing her in the hands of the dangerous enforcer assigned to watch her.\u201d<\/p>\n The Mummy 4 <\/p>\n During a recent interview with Screen Rant<\/a>, Oded Fehr revealed he has yet to be asked to reprise his role as Ardeth Bay in the upcoming fourth Mummy movie.<\/p>\n I gotta tell you, man, I\u2019m so excited that you\u2019re excited. I have no idea. I haven\u2019t been contacted. I don\u2019t know anything about it. I know that the internet has been saying it as though it exists and it\u2019s a done deal, but haven\u2019t heard anything about it. So I\u2019m hoping it happens. I\u2019m hoping I get to be in it. I\u2019ve gotten to see a few of them in the last couple of years, and I hope it happens, but I have not been contacted.<\/p>\n Spider-Man: Brand New Day <\/p>\n Elsewhere, director Destin Daniel Cretton told\u00a0Comic Book<\/a> he \u201cwanted to do something that felt different\u201d with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth MCU Spider-Man movie and the eleventh overall since 2002.<\/p>\n All the creatives involved when I came on board wanted to do something that felt different. Of course, it\u2019s still the Spider-Man that everybody loves, but this is a new chapter in his life, and that tonal shift was something that was really exciting to me. It felt really different, and it was an extremely gratifying experience.<\/p>\n Supergirl\/Street Fighter <\/p>\n Jason Momoa also revealed to Comic Book<\/a> he spent more time in the makeup chair preparing for his role as Lobo in Supergirl than he did as the green-skinned Blanka in Street Fighter.<\/p>\n Oh well, it definitely be Lobo. Yeah\u2026I don\u2019t know\u2026I was covered everywhere.<\/p>\n The Morrigan <\/p>\n Saffron Burrows plays an archeologist in Ireland who invokes the wrath of the titular pagan war goddess in the trailer for The Morrigan, co-starring Toby Stephens.<\/p>\n His Monster <\/p>\n Elsewhere, a grieving father believes a monster swept his daughter out to sea in the trailer for His Monster.<\/p>\n Tomb Raider <\/p>\n In conversation with the Los Angeles Times (via Screen Rant<\/a>), Sophie Turner stated the new Tomb Raider series shows how \u201cunashamedly capable\u201d Lara Croft is.<\/p>\n It\u2019s about her and her story and what drives her, rather than what so many people also love about her, which is how hot she is in the games and the movies. But I really want to show the other side. She\u2019s so unashamedly capable.
