\n\tHUNTR\/X<\/a>\u2019s \u201cGolden,\u201d from Netflix\u2019s animated blockbuster KPop Demon Hunters, slashes its way to No. 1 on Billboard\u2019s Adult Pop Airplay<\/a> chart (dated Jan. 31).<\/p>\n

\n\tNotably, \u201cGolden\u201d is the first song associated with Korean pop to crown Adult Pop Airplay. Previously, ROS\u00c9 and Bruno Mars\u2019 \u201cAPT.\u201d hit a No. 2 high for the genre last April.<\/p>\n

\n\t \u201cGolden\u201d previously topped<\/a> the Pop Airplay chart for three weeks beginning in November and the all-format Radio Songs chart for a week earlier in January<\/a>. It has totaled eight weeks at No. 1<\/a> on the multimetric Billboard Hot 100<\/a>, from mid-August through mid-October; 18 weeks atop the Billboard Global 200; and a record 20 weeks<\/a> at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.<\/p>\n

\n\tConcurrently, KPop Demon Hunters\u2019 new radio single<\/a>, \u201cHow It\u2019s Done,\u201d ascends 40-37 in its second week on Pop Airplay.<\/p>\n

\n\tBoth \u201cGolden\u201d and \u201cHow It\u2019s Done\u201d are by the singing trio of EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, in the roles of heroines Rumi, Mira and Zoey from KPop Demon Hunters. The movie\u2019s soundtrack, on Visva\/Republic, ruled the Billboard 200<\/a> for two weeks<\/a> and has spent its first 30 weeks and counting in the top 10. It has led the Soundtracks chart for 28 frames and became the first soundtrack ever to generate four simultaneous<\/a> Hot 100 top 10s.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2018Golden\u2019 has truly become a defining pop moment, an instant lean-in, turn-it-up track,\u201d Alex Tear, vp of music programming for SiriusXM and Pandora, told Billboard upon the song\u2019s Pop Airplay triumph. Thanks to the movie\u2019s wide reach, he added of \u201cGolden,\u201d \u201cThere\u2019s that immediate familiarity and big emotion that just hits.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cUp, up, up,\u201d REI AMI marveled<\/a> when \u201cGolden\u201d hit No. 1 on the Hot 100.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong other honors for \u201cGolden,\u201d on Jan. 11 it won the Golden Globe<\/a> for best original song \u2014 motion picture. It\u2019s also up for song of the year, among four total nominations<\/a>, at the 68th annual Grammy Awards Feb. 1 and will compete for best original song<\/a> at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15.<\/p>\n
