Rachel Bilson<\/a> is sharing some insight into her co-parenting relationship with ex Hayden Christensen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you forgot, the 44-year-old The O.C. actress and the 44-year-old Star Wars actor dated from 2007 until 2017 and share 11-year-old daughter Briar Rose.<\/p>\n

While appearing on Kristin Cavallari<\/a>\u2018s Let\u2019s Be Honest podcast<\/a> on Tuesday (January 20), Rachel shared an update on how co-parenting with Hayden is going.<\/p>\n

Keep reading to find out more\u2026\u201cGreat,\u201d Rachel said of their relationship. \u201cOurs is like a unique version of it, we get along very well. We do a lot of stuff together. A lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been able to keep it very copasetic and nice for her,\u201d Rachel emphasized.<\/p>\n

The Hart of Dixie actress went on to note that the fact that she and Hayden were never married worked out in their favor when it came to figuring out a custody arrangement that worked best for them.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe weren\u2019t ever married so we figured out our own way, our own path,\u201d Rachel said.<\/p>\n

As for the advice she would share with others that are trying to co-parent, Rachel said it would, \u201ccommunicating and sometimes you have to compromise a lot.\u201d <\/p>\n

Rachel also shared that she has remained very close with Hayden\u2018s family following their split.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really close to his family,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s been almost 19 years or something, which is a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later during her appearance on the podcast, Rachel revealed that Briar isn\u2019t fazed at all by her parents\u2019 fame.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor my daughter, both of her parents are in the business. Especially her dad will get recognized, and it doesn\u2019t even register with her,\u201d Rachel shared. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of like it is what it is. She has a really good attitude about it, and I\u2019d like to say not affected.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cWe\u2019re just mom and dad, it\u2019s definitely good.\u201d<\/p>\n
