After Brooklyn Beckham\u2019s disastrous wedding to Nicola Peltz<\/a>, a lawsuit brought by fired wedding planners exposed the Peltz clan\u2019s apparent rift with Victoria Beckham.<\/p>\n

According to documents in the 2023 lawsuit <\/a>over the model\u2019s Florida nuptials in April 2022<\/a>, the Beckham family had their guest list \u201cfully organized with all contact information fully revised and nearly ready to go,\u201d while the Peltz family list was incomplete and missing addresses.<\/p>\n

\u201cNicola continued sending text messages in a [group chat] adding and removing certain guests \u2014 making the task of creating a comprehensive and complete guest list a moving target,\u201d the docs stated.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Peltz clan \u2014 including Nicola\u2019s billionaire dad, Nelson, and mom, Claudia \u2014 seemed concerned with making sure the Beckhams weren\u2019t aware of any issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth Claudia and Nicola had insisted that Victoria Beckham could not know about any\u00a0internal mistakes regarding the ongoing planning\u00a0of her son\u2019s wedding, including any errors with the guest list,\u201d the lawsuit read.<\/p>\n

Wedding planners Nicole\u00a0Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Plan Design Events\u00a0(PDE), who were brought into the wedding just six weeks before the event and cut loose nine days later, claimed breach of contract in the countersuit \u2014 Nelson claimed in a previous lawsuit that they refused to return a deposit of $159,000.<\/p>\n

Nelson \u2014 whom Braghin and Grijalba labeled a \u201cbillionaire bully\u201d in the docs \u2014 was frustrated enough to threaten to \u201ccancel the wedding,\u201d which he labelled a \u201cs\u2013t show,\u201d they claimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cClaudia begged Nelson not to cancel the wedding because it would \u2018destroy Nicola\u2019s career,\u2019\u201d the docs claimed.<\/p>\n

Nelson \u2014 who alleged in his own lawsuit<\/a> that the planners offered\u00a0\u201cno services of value\u201d and \u201cjustifiably\u201d\u00a0wanted a refund, called the countersuit a \u201cgood old-fashioned shakedown\u201d in documents of his own.<\/p>\n

The wedding planners asked for \u201ceven more money for services that Defendants did not provide,\u201d the docs obtained by Page Six in March 2023 alleged.<\/p>\n

Lawyers for the billionaire also accused the planners of \u201cshamefully\u201d attempting to \u201cfalsely portray Nicola in an extremely negative light to entice the media and hopefully pressure Mr. Peltz to dismiss his well-founded claims,\u201d the docs read.<\/p>\n

Braghin\u00a0told the Daily Mail at the time, \u201cWe love what we do and we\u2019re good at it\u201d and claimed Nicola texted them, \u201cYou\u2019re killing it!\u201d a day prior to their firing.<\/p>\n

Amid the drama, the couple\u2019s previous wedding planner, Preston Bailey, offered a different view of Nicola<\/a>, whom he called \u201cgreat,\u201d and her family.<\/p>\n

Bailey was hired in April 2021 and resigned on March 1, 2022, telling Page Six at the time that he had \u201covercommitted.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t deliver to the quality I was used to,\u201d he said. \u201cI have the best to say about the Peltzes and Nicola. There wasn\u2019t any bad blood.\u201d Of the Peltz family, he said, \u201cThey are lovely people. These people are important\u00a0to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooklyn and Nicola ultimately settled the lawsuits in September 2023<\/a>. \u201cThe parties believe that this contract dispute between Nelson Peltz and Plan Design should be resolved on the terms agreed,\u201d Grijalba\u00a0and Nicole Braghin told People in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cPDE wishes Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz Beckham happiness and a fruitful life together,\u201d the statement concluded, with the outlet reporting that both lawsuits were \u201cdismissed with prejudice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooklyn made headlines on Monday when he released a lengthy Instagram statement blasting Victoria and David for allegedly controlling \u201cnarratives in the press about our family\u201d and stating that he does not \u201cwant to reconcile\u201d<\/a> with his family.<\/p>\n

A guest at the nuptials previously told Page Six <\/a>that the family feud came to a head when Marc Anthony, who performed at the celebration,\u00a0summoned Brooklyn to dance with Victoria, \u201cthe most beautiful woman in the room,\u201d and Nicola was hurt.<\/p>\n
