Victoria Beckham<\/a> has scored the biggest-selling single of the week following the public spat with her son, Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

The fashion designer and former\u00a0Spice Girl<\/a>\u2018s 2001 single \u2018Not Such An Innocent Girl\u2019 has topped the UK Official Singles Sales Chart and the Official Download Chart in the UK, a quarter of a century since its release, per Official Charts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It marks her first solo Number One outside of the Spice Girls, with sales and streams of the track increasing 19,615% week-on week.\u00a0At the time of its release, the pop-R&B track peaked at Number 6.<\/p>\n

It comes as Brooklyn, who is the 26-year-old son of Victoria and David Beckham, shared a statement about his relationship with his parents after months of rumours of a falling out.<\/p>\n

In the post, he defended his wife, Nicola Peltz, and said that she had been \u201cconsistently disrespected\u201d by his family.<\/p>\n

He also accused his parents of \u201ccontrolling\u201d him and of \u201cbribery\u201d, adding that he has no intentions of reconciling with them any time soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family. I\u2019m not being controlled, I\u2019m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,\u201d he added. \u201cThe performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they\u2019ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also added that he \u201cgrew up with overwhelming anxiety\u201d and alleged that \u201cfor the first time in my life since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neither Victoria nor David has publicly responded to the statement put forward by Brooklyn, but the comments from the photographer and aspiring chef have got fans talking online.<\/p>\n

One person who made a nod towards the statement was pop star Lily Allen, who took to Instagram Stories to share a reimagined version of her \u2018West End Girl\u2019 album<\/a> \u2013 depicting Brooklyn sat in the same way and in the same coat as she has on the original cover.<\/p>\n

\u2018West End Girl\u2019 was written and recorded following the breakdown of Allen\u2019s marriage to Stranger Things<\/a>\u00a0actor David Harbour, after he allegedly cheated on her. In the tracks, she reopened old wounds from the relationship, told fans about her stance on what happened, and voiced how she was wanting to move on.<\/p>\n

In other news, back in September, Victoria sparked speculation about a potential Spice Girls reunion after attending an Oasis concert<\/a>\u00a0at Wembley Stadium. She shared a photo from the gig along with the word \u201cTempting\u201d, while tagging her former bandmates in the post.<\/p>\n

Spice Girls embarked on a\u00a0huge reunion tour in 2019<\/a>, but the line-up did not include Victoria. The last time\u00a0all five members performed together publicly was at the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last April, all five singers came together for\u00a0a surprise performance at Victoria\u2019s 50th birthday party<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This November,\u00a0Mel C said she was \u201coptimistic\u201d about another return for the iconic girl band in 2026<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s our 30th anniversary next year,\u201d she explained. \u201cWe toured in 2019, we did a few stadium shows in the UK and it was incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n
