\n\tLeonardo DiCaprio<\/a> is sharing his thoughts on One Battle After Another<\/a> co-star Chase Infiniti<\/a> not receiving a 2026 Oscar nomination earlier this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tDiCaprio has been nominated for eight Academy Awards and won an Oscar in 2016 for best actor for his role in The Revenant. He spoke to the Associated Press<\/a> about receiving his latest nod on Thursday \u2014 and expressed his disappointment that Infiniti didn\u2019t score one for Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s latest film<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cShe was the fabric of this movie. She was the heart and soul,\u201d DiCaprio said. \u201cThere would be no\u00a0One Battle After Another\u00a0without the performance that she gave.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHe added that she had \u201can amazing attitude\u201d about it, regardless. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cA young actress coming in to fill a role that was her first film and carrying the entire emotional weight of this movie was a near-impossible task,\u201d DiCaprio said. \u201cShe should be so proud of herself and we\u2019re all so proud of her.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThis year, DiCaprio is nominated for best lead actor alongside Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet (Marty Supreme), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners) and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).\u00a0Anderson is also nominated for best director. Benicio Del Toro\u00a0is nominated for best supporting actor and the film earned a nom for best picture. One Battle After Another landed 13 nominations total<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tInfiniti was expected to receive a best actress nod. The nominees in that category are Jessie Buckley for\u00a0Hamnet, Rose Byrne for\u00a0If I Had Legs I\u2019d Kick You, Kate Hudson for Song Sung Blue, Renate Reinsve for\u00a0Sentimental Value\u00a0and Emma Stone for\u00a0Bugonia.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood Reporter<\/a> noted earlier this week that in addition to Infiniti, other snubs this year include Paul Mescal for Hamnet; Jesse Plemons for\u00a0Bugonia; Jennifer Lawrence for\u00a0Die My Love; Jennifer Lopez and Tonatiuh for\u00a0Kiss of the Spider-Woman;\u00a0and Train Dreams\u00a0actors, Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, William H.
