A wave of reported settler violence swept across several West Bank villages over the weekend, with masked Israelis allegedly torching vehicles, vandalizing property, and injuring Palestinians in separate incidents, according to Arabic media and Palestinian Authority reports.<\/p>\n

In the latest attack, masked settlers set fire to vehicles and sprayed graffiti on property in the village of Atara overnight Sunday, Arabic media reported.<\/p>\n

The graffiti in the central West Bank village reads, \u201cRegards to Zini from Har Hamor,\u201d in a reference to Shin Bet chief David Zini. Har Hamor is an ultraconservative yeshiva in Jerusalem where Zini studied.<\/p>\n

Another instance of graffiti reads \u201cHappy Ramadan holiday,\u201d referring to the Muslim holy month that begins in February. A Star of David was tagged next to the phrase.<\/p>\n

There were no reports of injuries or arrests in the incident.<\/p>\n

Separately, four people were injured in a settler attack on Saturday on a home in the Palestinian Christian town of Birzeit, near Ramallah, the Palestinian Authority\u2019s official Wafa news agency reported.<\/p>\n

According to the report, settlers assaulted the home, on the outskirts of the town near an IDF checkpoint, and pelted its occupants \u2014 a woman and her son \u2014 with stones.<\/p>\n

Nearby residents intervened and retaliated in kind, throwing stones at the settlers, Wafa said.\n<\/p>\n

Israeli troops were dispatched to the scene, where they used tear gas and arrested three Palestinian youths while allowing the settlers to leave, the report said.<\/p>\n

The woman whose home was targeted was struck in the head by a rock and seriously injured, and was taken to a hospital in Ramallah, Wafa reported. Her son and two other residents were also injured, though their conditions were not specified.<\/p>\n

Three additional Palestinians were injured in a separate settler attack Saturday in the village of Beit Furik near Nablus, Wafa reported.<\/p>\n

According to the agency, settlers beat three residents, including a 70-year-old man, who were later taken to a hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Other residents reportedly arrived at the scene to confront the settlers, prompting a clash that Wafa said the IDF responded to by using stun grenades and tear gas.<\/p>\n

The military confirmed that forces used crowd dispersal measures upon arriving, resulting in one Palestinian being injured in the head and taken for medical treatment.<\/p>\n

Wafa also reported a violent confrontation between settlers and Palestinians in the nearby town of Qusra, claiming heavy gunfire was heard.<\/p>\n

A military source told The Times of Israel that there was no known gunfire in the area.<\/p>\n
