On Tuesday 27 January, the Flame Journey of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games will experience its fifty-first stage, crossing the Dolomite valleys and alpine villages that lead to the most iconic peaks of the Dolomites.<\/p>\n
The programme of the day<\/p>\n
In detail, the Flame will start at 10.00 am from Dobbiaco, with 33 individual torchbearers and\u00a0\u200b20 in a group,\u00a0\u200bthen continue towards Rasun di Sotto, with passage scheduled at 12.30 pm in \u200bthis \u200bterritory that opens the way to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, one of the most\u00a0\u200bfamous massifs of the Dolomites, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009.<\/p>\n
At 1.30 pm, the relay\u00a0\u200bwill cross\u00a0\u200b\u200bBrunico, a city located at the foot of the Plan de Corones ski area, known not only for its modern facilities and ski slopes, but also for its cultural offer at high altitude.\u00a0\u200b\u200bAmong the points of interest, the Messner Mountain Museum Corones and the LUMEN Museum of Mountain Photography stand out, both located at an altitude of 2,275 metres, making this area a destination of excellence from both a sporting and cultural point of view.<\/p>\n
In the afternoon, at 3.50 pm, the Flame will continue towards Bressanone, an important historical city that preserves a rich cultural heritage.\u00a0\u200b\u200bThe stage will end in Bolzano, with arrival scheduled for 7:30 pm\u00a0\u200bin\u00a0\u200bPiazza Walther, where 37 torchbearers will bring the Flame to the brazier, which will be lit in a moment of celebration open to the community.<\/p>\n
During the day, the Flame Journey will pass through places of particular interest, such as Lake Misurina, an alpine pearl located at 1,754 metres, famous for its clear waters and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.\u00a0\u200b\u200bIn addition, the route will pass\u00a0\u200b\u200bthrough Antholz-Anterselva, home of the S\u00fcdtirol Arena Alto Adige, one of the most prestigious biathlon centres in the world, which will be one of the venues for the Olympic competitions.<\/p>\n
