There are a lot of surfers living in and around Los Angeles. It\u2019s a nice ocean off that glittering stretch of coastline, but it\u2019s not just us that use it. We share it with plenty of other creatures, and for surfers, the most notable of them is the great white shark. Carlos Gauna has spent many hours searching for great white sharks off the coast of L.A., and in his most recent YouTube installment, he explains how he goes about finding them.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s January in Los Angeles and there are great white sharks on some of its busiest beaches,\u201d Gauna wrote.<\/a> \u201cIn this video, I sit down with Dr. Phil Sternes in search of great white sharks along one of Los Angeles\u2019 busiest beaches. This is a quick look at my equipment, and the process of searching for sharks.\u201d<\/p>\n Although Gauna is very experienced with sharks, he\u2019s quick to admit that he\u2019s not a trained scientist. \u201cI\u2019m NOT a marine biologist,\u201d he explains. \u201cAs with all YouTube content, I encourage independent verification of facts via official scientific and trustworthy sources.
