Spider-Man <\/p>\n

A rumor from Daniel Richtman (via Comicbook<\/a>) alleges that, after a string of misfires (Madame Web innocent<\/a>), Sony is potentially now more open to working with Marvel Studios on allowing the MCU to use some of the Spider-Man characters it owns the adaptive rights to.<\/p>\n

The Exorcist: Martyr <\/p>\n

Deadline<\/a> reports Diane Lane has joined the cast of Mike Flanagan\u2019s Exorcist movie in a currently undisclosed role.<\/p>\n

Deadpool 4 <\/p>\n

Hidden away in an article on the Blake Lively controversy, Puck<\/a> (via World of Reel<\/a>) reports Ryan Reynolds is now working on a fourth Deadpool movie.<\/p>\n

Saw 12 <\/p>\n

In a recent interview with Letterboxd<\/a>, James Wan revealed Saw 12 will take Jigsaw\u2019s philosophy of ignoring \u201cscumbag(s)\u201d who still \u201cappreciate life\u201d to task.<\/p>\n

Leigh and I both want to recapture the spirit of that first film and revisit Jigsaw\u2019s philosophy, which is that he goes after people who don\u2019t appreciate their lives. If you\u2019re a scumbag, but you appreciate your life, he doesn\u2019t see you as someone who\u2019s wasting your life, so I want to go back to what we touched on in the first movie with regard to that.<\/p>\n

At the same time, I want to honor what people have come to love about the franchise, whilst trying to do something fresh and new that we haven\u2019t seen before.<\/p>\n

Later in the interview, Wan erroneously calls the film \u201cthe eleventh installment\u201d of the franchise, possibly casting Spiral: From the Book of Saw\u00a0into the realm of franchise apocrypha.<\/p>\n

This next movie would be the eleventh installment, and there\u2019ve been lots of films in this world. We need to do something different in order to reach out to a new generation that didn\u2019t grow up with it.<\/p>\n

Untitled 70\u2019s Horror Reboot <\/p>\n

In another recent interview with MovieWeb<\/a>, Madelaine Petsch revealed she\u2019s attached to a remake of a \u201cdeep cut\u201d 70\u2019s horror film still trying to acquire funding.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s one film from the \u201970s that I really want to remake, but I\u2019m in the process of figuring that out so I don\u2019t want to say it yet. But I\u2019m really excited about it if it happens. It\u2019s so cool. I don\u2019t know how no one\u2019s remade it yet. t\u2019s kind of like a deep cut though. I hadn\u2019t heard about it until very recently, and then I watched it and I was like, \u2018This is crazy! I have to remake this.\u2019<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, James Gunn impishly shared these images detailing an elaborate marketing plan for \u201cChocos\u201d, the fictional sandwich cookie beloved by the Martian Manhunter. Though Gunn may be teasing the character\u2019s potential upcoming debut, the offices pictured below were briefly seen and subsequently destroyed<\/a> in Superman.<\/p>\n
