\n\tROS\u00c9<\/a> just spilled a bunch of tea about BLACKPINK<\/a>, from details about the band\u2019s upcoming mini-album to what the members would do if one of them didn\u2019t want to be in the group anymore.<\/p>\n

\n\tAppearing on the episode of Call Her Daddy posted Wednesday (Jan. 28), the Grammy nominee shed some light on Deadline, BLACKPINK\u2019s first collection of songs as a group since 2022\u2019s Born Pink album. It will arrive after the foursome \u2014 which is also comprised of JISOO, JENNIE and LISA \u2014 reunited for their world tour last summer.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s an album that we\u2019ve all kind of obviously come back from after that year of exploring and all being our individual selves,\u201d ROS\u00c9 said, referencing BLACKPINK\u2019s hiatus in 2024 as the women pursued solo projects. \u201cAnd so I think it was really interesting to come back and see what was created after that. I really like all the songs there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSpecifically shouting out \u201cJump,\u201d the mini-album\u2019s lead single released in July, the New Zealand native also teased, \u201cWe have a fun collaboration that\u2019s coming up. And I played it for a bunch of my team and my friends, and they all were like, \u2018It feels like \u201cJump,\u201d but it\u2019s, like, so different\u2019 \u2026 It\u2019s a big funky mixture of like all these things, but for some reason it works, and I\u2019m really excited for the fans to see that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s been years since BLACKPINK properly released music as a group. After debuting in 2016 under YG Entertainment and working nonstop for years afterward, the quartet spent some time apart before re-signing their contracts ahead of their reunion last year.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut what happens if one of the ladies decides she doesn\u2019t want to be in the band anymore? I think if one of us feels like at that time, that\u2019s not the right thing, then we\u2019re all in,\u201d ROS\u00c9 told host Alex Cooper. \u201cWe will understand, and \u2014 like any relationship \u2014 if one person is not ready for something, then it should just be respected, and I think we will always be ready to do that, because BLACKPINK is only four members. We will not be able to neglect anyone\u2019s decision at any time in their life, and we trust that every decision made is the right decision for each person.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere in the podcast, ROS\u00c9 rehashed the time Taylor Swift gave her advice<\/a> at a party \u2014 \u201cShe pulled me aside, and she\u2019s like, \u2018Ask me anything’\u201d \u2014 and recalled her initial reaction to her label choosing her stage name pre-debut. \u201cIt was the day before they released my picture \u2026 and, like, the name got announced,\u201d she said. \u201cI freaked out. I think it was like eight hours before it came out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI love [ROS\u00c9] now,\u201d she added. \u201cBut at the time, I was like, \u2018What is it, ROS\u00c9?\u2019 I was like, I sound like a grandma \u2026 Then they typed it on the computer, and they\u2019re like, \u2018Look, it\u2019s going to look so cool.\u2019 And then I saw it on screen, and that\u2019s when I was like, \u2018OK, it looks nice.’\u201d<\/p>\n
