With his first 3-pointer on Wednesday night, Kevin Durant passed Vince Carter for 10th on the all-time 3-pointers made list.<\/p>\n

Kevin Durant\u2019s ascent through the NBA\u2019s record book took another turn Wednesday night when he passed Vince Carter for 10th place<\/a> with 2,291 3-pointers made.<\/p>\n

Durant\u2019s historic 3 \u2014 which elevated him from a tie with Carter \u2014 came in the first quarter against the San Antonio Spurs. Durant finished with 24 points (8-for-17 overall, 2-for-4 on 3-pointers) in the Rockets\u2019 111-99 loss<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Durant, an 11-time All-Star, reached the milestone in 1,166 games. Carter nailed 2,290 3-pointers over his 22 NBA seasons over 1,541 career games.<\/p>\n

Durant will have a long way to go before he reaches his next milestone, as the Philadelphia 76ers\u2019 Paul George (2,414 3-pointers) lies ahead and, like Durant, is still active.<\/p>\n

Kevin Durant moves to No 10 on the all-time 3-pointers made list, passing Vince Carter.<\/p>\n
